  7. CLEO-APPC allows program-to-program communications between SCO UNIX-based
  8. systems and other computers in SNA networks through IBM's LU Type 6.2.
  9. CLEO-APPC allows programs running on the same or different systems to
  10. communicate with each other to accomplish a single task, such as querying a
  11. remote database, copying a remote file, or sending and receiving electronic
  12. mail. CLEO-APPC provides a full implementation of IBM's Advanced
  13. Program-to-Program Communications for mapped and basic conversations. It
  14. supports many APPC option sets and IBM's Common Service Verbs. CLEO-APPC can be
  15. used alone or in combination with CLEO's 3270LINKix and 3770LINKix emulation
  16. software in SNA. CLEO's synchronous interface boards can feature onboard
  17. coprocessors and memory, which offload APPC communications processing from the
  18. SCO UNIX system, freeing it for high-performance applications processing.
